BECOMING FIERCE
We’re two long distance BFFs whose paths crossed back in an AP Spanish class in high school. At that moment, we both finally found someone who was equally as strange and weird as we’ve always been.
Outside of our personalities, we also had much more in common… Both of us are the children of immigrants who had high expectations for us to make a better life for ourselves. We both also struggled with feelings of self-worth and doubt at different points in our lives. We were there for each other through it all, because that's what best friends are for, right?

So we want you to join us on our journey of self-love and self-development. We’re the women who have always been a little too loud, a little too outspoken, a little too ambitious, and maybe a tad bit weird (but we love that about ourselves). We started this podcast because we want every woman out there to know that she is not alone on this journey. Life is too short for you not to be badass... it is your God-given right to be! You don’t have to fit into a box!

So, Be You Not Them is not just a podcast, it is a movement for the badass in all of us, a celebration of every woman out there. It is a shout out to every woman finding herself, every woman still looking for her voice, every woman still stuck in unfulfilling roles and scared of going out there to be who she wants to be.

We’re here to cheer each other on our journey! Many people celebrate the success, not many celebrate the journey, which can be long, painful and seem like it’s never-ending. But we’ve got this and we’ve got your back. We can’t wait to see and hear your incredible stories!

Nina Jean-Louis hasn’t made it yet, but she sure as hell is on her way! She is a committed working woman passionate about living the dream, and making sure other women are living the dream, and having fun while she’s at it! She is a structural engineer and historic preservation specialist (a mouthful, I know). In English, what she does is that she helps communities connect with their roots by providing expertise on how they can preserve their historical monuments.

Finally, before you begin to get worried that it is all work and no play with her, Nina is a lover of the great outdoors, lazy beach days, and food. She is a proud islander, and dogs are the best thing since sliced bread.

Natassia is a digital marketing professional, graphics designer for fun, and a lover of all things fashion. When she is not working at her 9-5 job as a Digital Marketing Manager, she loves to dabble in growth hacking social media. She started her fashion inspired Instagram in 2016 and uses it as a creative outlet, as well as a platform to inspire others to be comfortable in their own skin.

After suffering from self-esteem issues for most of her young adulthood, Natassia's life goal is to make women uncover their true potential. She’s a total goofball and enjoys making people laugh. When she is unwinding, you can find her dancing in a Zumba class or down the aisle of your local supermarket. She also loves her children, which are her cats.
